Dream Boy Part 2

Hey!

It's been a week and I've written a lot more of this story and a bit of Mystery Man as well. But for now I present the second chapter of Dream Boy. It's kinda boring but I promise that part 3 gets very interesting......

Enjoy!

We kept walking, hands entwined until we had gone inside and walked up the stairs. We stopped, turned and faced each other. He leant in and gave me a quick, gentle kiss. His smile was heart- warming and cheeky. “Night, beautiful.” “Night, Liam,” I replied. We parted and I headed for Alice’s room, further down the corridor. I opened the door and found the lights were off and Alice looked like she was asleep. I quietly shut the door behind me, took off my swimmers, slipped into my PJs and climbed into bed. I closed my eyes, contemplating what just happened and feeling so happy and satisfied that I had found love at last.
I woke up to sun shining through the windows and I heard birds say good morning to each other. I rolled over, stretched and rubbed my tired eyes. “Morning,” said Alice. “Morning.” My voice sounded course and low, but then again I had only just woken up. “Did you sleep well?” she asked. I nodded. I opened my mouth to yawn and just then my stomach gave a very loud rumble and Alice laughed. “You want something to eat?” “Yeah, that’d be nice.” We dragged ourselves out of bed and came downstairs to the kitchen. Alice’s mum, Sarah and Liam were already there, Sarah cooking breakfast and Liam sitting at the bench. Liam’s hair was a mess, sticking in every direction and it made him look so adorable. They looked up as we came in, Liam giving me a secret smile. I smiled back and looked away, my cheeks turning pink. He made my heart flutter with excitement, even after last night. “Ah, you’re up,” said Sarah. “I was just about to come and get you.” Alice hurried over to the stove to see what was cooking and I followed. “Bacon, eggs, baked beans-” The toaster next to me dinged, making us both jump. “And toast!” I added. Sarah served up breakfast for the four of us; Alice’s father was away on a business trip. We sat down at the table and began to eat.
“Wow. That was good,” I said, pushing away my empty plate. “Yeah, thanks Mum,” added Alice. “What? Do I get no credit?” asked Liam. Alice gave him a withering look and I giggled. Sarah spoke up. “Bella, you’d better call your mum to come and pick you up.” “Oh, yeah,” I said. “Where’s your phone?” “Just around the corner,” said Alice, pointing to a corridor, just off the kitchen. I took my plate over to the sink and then walked in the direction that Alice had indicated. I felt like I had only just came here and now I was leaving only moments later. I wanted to spend more time with Liam, but it would be a bit awkward with Alice and her mum here. That reminded me. I saw the phone as soon as I walked in. Next to the phone was a pad of stickynotes and a pen. Perfect. I wrote my mobile number and drew a little love heart next to it. I would give that to Liam when I left. But being without Liam was beginning to feel like half of me was missing.
“Did you call her?” asked Alice as I walked back into the kitchen. “Yeah,” I nodded, sitting down. “When is she coming?” asked Sarah. “In half an hour,” I replied. “Well, you had better pack up your things. Alice, you’ll help her won’t you?” Sarah’s tone was playful. “Yes, mum,” Alice groaned. I light-heartedly punched her on the arm. “Come on, let’s go,” I said, heading for the stairs.
Before I knew it I had changed, packed my bag and I was walking out the door, followed by my mum, Sarah, Alice and Liam. I walked to our car, dumped my bag in the boot and walked back. My mum and Sarah were still talking, taking forever to walk to the end of their driveway. I hugged Alice, said thank you and then turned to Liam. “Um, goodbye,” I said, extending my hand. Liam took it and then paused, his face furrowed in confusion. For in my hand, I had concealed the sticky-note with my number on it, folded between my fingers. “Yeah, bye,” he said. I felt him take the note and he had the sense to keep it hidden in his hand. I smiled and walked to my mum, said goodbye and thanks to Sarah and then half dragged my mum away. I opened the door climbed in the car. I turned and waved out the window and I saw Liam sneakily read the note. I saw his face light up and he lifted his head and his eyes met mine, just as my mum put the car into gear and drove away. I smiled to myself, knowing that I would not have to wait long to see him again.

More Writing!

I hate making names for these posts.

Anyway, I have decided to name my previous story, Dream Boy. I'm writing more of it now so I should be posting more of it sometime soon.

But I am going to show you another story inspired by Romeo and Juliet again, and it is called, My Mystery Man.

Enjoy!

I was sitting by my fish tank, just daydreaming as usual, not really looking at anything. As I glanced around my room I did a double take. A fact was peering at my fish tank from the other side. I stood up slowly and walked over. As I came closer, the face turned away from the fish and looked at me. Wow. I was instantly captured and enwrapped. A few little stands had escaped his well-groomed, golden, caramel, brown hair and were hanging by the edge of his eyes. And his eyes, oh, his eyes. His eyes were a beautiful, sapphire blue in a perfect heart-shaped face. His lips were a soft shade of red which curved into a cheeky smile before me. I blushed and looked away but I couldn’t keep my gaze away for long. He smiled again, lent against the glass and made a fish face. I laughed and backed away and I heard a faint chuckle from behind the glass. Just then I heard, “Bella? Are you ready?” from downstairs. The smile vanished from my face and I looked at the clock. It was 5:30! I had completely forgotten about the party! “Um, give me a minute!” I called back. I ran to my desk and hurriedly searched for a blank piece of paper. I grabbed a pen and scribbled down the address of the party and ran to the tank. Mercifully, he was still there, gazing through the glass. I pressed the note against the tank and I saw his eyes move quickly as he read it. “Be there at 6 tonight!” I called through the glass. He nodded. “I’ll be there,” flashing me another one of his dazzling smiles. I smiled back and then jumped as Mum came into my room. “I’m ready,” I said, moving away from the tank. “Good, let’s get moving,” said Mum. She ran out the door and I grabbed my bag. I stopped at the door and looked back at the tank. To one side of it, I saw half of his beautiful face, peering out and still smiling. I grinned back and reluctantly, tore my gaze away and ran out the door.
The car trip to the party seemed to take a lifetime. I was almost bouncing in my seat with excitement and nervousness. Who is he? What was he doing in my house? How did he find my room? These questions didn’t worry me, they just made me curious as to who this mystery man is. My mum had been watching me throughout the journey to the party. As stopped at a red light, she spoke. “What is up with you? What are you jumping like a jelly bean?” I was quickly brought back to reality. “Um, I’m just excited for the party.” Mum didn’t reply but I’m pretty sure that she didn’t believe me.
We finally arrived at the party, which form the noise of chatter and laughter, it was well under way. I nearly leaped out of the car and Mum joined me as we walked up their driveway. We stepped through the front door and were instantly welcomed by the party’s host, Christine. Mum had known her for years and she had known me since birth. I quickly said hello and then scanned the room for my mystery man. I walked around the kitchen, the balcony, the garden but he was nowhere to be found. I had decided that he just wasn’t here yet and so I took some nibbles and a drink and went outside onto the back balcony. It was thankfully deserted; leaving me with the night sky and my thoughts. I’m not going to lie. I was a bit disappointed that he wasn’t there straight away but then again, he wasn’t formerly invited. But I wouldn’t be upset for long.
“Hey!” a voice half-whispered, half-spoken from below me. I looked down and hiding behind a tree was my mystery man. A smile immediately broke out on my face and my heart started to flutter. “You made it!” “Yeah, I’m sorry I’m a bit late,” he replied. “That’s fine, but why are you hiding?” I said. “My mum is here and I’m supposed to be at home,” he whispered. “Darling?” I heard my Mum’s voice from inside. Ugh. Mum had the worst timing. “Yeah?” I called back. “Dinner’s being served!” “Ah, coming!” I looked down and he was still there, smiling his beautiful smile. “Wait,” I called down to him. I grabbed my bag and rummaged through it. I pulled out my phone and dropped it off the side of the balcony. He caught it and looked up at me quizzically. “Put your number in. Quick!” I saw him hurriedly press buttons and after a few moments, he stopped typing and threw the phone back to me. Luckily I caught it. “I’ve got to go now, I’m sorry,” I said. He chuckled. “Don’t be, I’d better go as well. Maybe next time we can actually meet.” I smiled. “Until next time.” I glanced at my phone. “Alex,” I added. He grinned at the sound of his name, and with a final look he stepped out from behind the tree and ran away into the night; leaving me on the balcony looking out as he vanished into the dark.

Sorry.

Sorry.
I do realise that I haven't posted anything in about 9 months. I guess I just lost interest.

I've kinda given up with my previous Short Story.

Recently, in class I have been writing other stuff. And that is what I'm going to give you today.

I present to you, a Romeo and Juliet Inspired story.

Enjoy!

I thought it was just an average day in my average life. If only I’d known that morning of what was yet to happen. I had recently met a new girl at my school. Alice and I immediately bonded over LOTR and the Hobbit. On Friday, I was invited to her place to stay the night. And that was where the magic happened.
We dumped our bags on the floor and crashed onto her queen-sized bed. “Oh my God. It is so hot,” Alice panted. “Yeah, I think Sydney might’ve reached its limit, and that’s hard to do,” I replied, equally exhausted. “Thank the Lord I’ve got a pool,” Alice sighed. I shot up. “You have a pool?!” “Yeah! Of course!” “Well, what are we waiting for?!” Alice stood up and grabbed some swimmers and we got changed. We ran down the stairs and outside. I looked up and froze. There was a boy, standing by the pool. He had heard us coming and he turned around. I was instantly struck by his beauty. His golden hair almost glowed in the afternoon sun. His soft, brown eyes held warmth and comfort and his lips were the perfect shade of pink. As we came closer, his lips curved into an adorable half-smile. “Hey sis,” he said. Oh my God. His voice was like liquid gold; the voice of an angel. “Bella, this is my brother, Liam. Liam, this is Bella from school. She’s staying the night.” “It’s nice to meet you,” he said, still smiling. “Likewise,” I blurted out. “Would you two like something to drink? I was just about to get myself one,” he said. “A Coke, please,” said Alice. “I’ll have a Sprite, thanks,” I said. “Ok,” he said, walking to the house. The instant he was inside, I exploded. “Why didn’t you tell me you had a brother?!” I half-screamed. “I’m sorry! I forgot!” I gave her an angry, cheeky grin and without warning, I pushed her into the pool. I laughed and jumped in after her. As we both surfaced we began splashing each other, only stopping when Liam returned with our drinks. We swan to the edge and hoisted ourselves out. We continued to swim and play games with Liam until late afternoon. We got out and made dinner; not bothering to change we were getting back in straight after. After dinner, I asked Alice, “You’re coming back in right?” She hesitated. “Now that I think about it, I don’t think that I will. It’s gone a bit cold,” she said. I was a bit disappointed. “Oh, okay. Well, can I go in anyway?” “Sure,” she said.
I left the kitchen and headed down to the pool. I opened the gate and walked down the pool steps; feeling the water rise up around me almost sucking me in. I walked till I could not stand and I sank beneath the water. I loved the felling of cool water around me, it felt like bliss. I opened my eyes and saw the beautiful blueness of the water but I also was a flicker of movement from the corner of my eye. I kicked off the ground and rose to the surface. I gasped as my head broke the surface and as my eyes focused I saw Liam sitting on the steps of the pool. “Hey,” he said. “Hey what are you doing here?” I said, swimming towards him. “I felt that you could use some company,” he said smiling. I blushed and sat one step below him. “How old are you?” I asked, to fill the silence. “17, and you’re 15 right?” I nodded. “Your hair looks really pretty in the moonlight,” he said. I looked up at him in surprise and it was his turn to look away and his face gave the impression that he was angry with himself. I giggled and said, “So does yours,” I replied. His eyes found mine and stayed there. Very slowly, he began to shift to the step that I was sitting on. His hand went to my cheek and pushed a few strands of hair away from my face. He began to lean towards me and my heart rate was ecstatically high. My eyes closed as our lips touched. Oh my god. I had never felt anything like it before in my life and I loved it. But it was a shock to my body. My blood boiled under my skin and I breathed in really sharply. Liam instantly pulled away. “Sorry,” he said, blushing furiously. “No,” I said, as if in a trance. “That was amazing.” I took is face in my hands and kissed him passionately. I felt him relax under my touch and he returned with one equally as story. My hands slide to his neck and curled into his hair and back, feeling his hard, smooth muscles under his shirt. I felt his hands exploring my hair and neck, then found my shoulders and back. We were completely oblivious to the world around us and as we twisted and tried to find more of each other, we slipped off the edge of the step and fell with a splash into the pool. The cold of the water came as a shock to both of us and we broke apart and rose to the surface. I laughed and he joined in, smiling as we drew close again and continued to kiss and embrace each other. My shaking hands slid to his waist and attempted to pull his shirt off. I gave up as he pulled it off himself. He tossed it aside and lifted my chin and pressed his lips to mine. I’m not entirely sure how long we stayed there, in each other’s arms, in the pool, at night, but I didn’t care. Eventually, we broke apart and opened our eyes. His brown ones glistened with love and care as he smiled at me. “I-I think I love you,” he stuttered. I giggled. “That’s fine by me.” As he leaned forward, I pushed back. His grin began to fade and he lowered his hand. I splashed him in the face. I laughed at his expression of surprise and mock horror. He splashed me back and it became a crazy battle, full of water and laughter. As we fought, Liam came closer and snuck up behind me and hugged me; pulling me to his chest. As his arms tightened around me, I relaxed and rested my head against his shoulder, looking up towards his beautiful face. I stroked his cheek and gave him a soft kiss. “Come on, let’s get out. It’s getting cold,” I said, gently pulling away from him. He followed me out of the pool holding my hand, our fingers entwined. He opened the gate for me and I walked out, the gate closing softly behind him. We took our time walking back to the house, as if we had all the time in the world. I can’t imagine what we must’ve looked like to someone else. Two teenagers, holding hands, walking slowly in the moonlight.

Short Story 4

Warning: This is a long part.

“They’ve been asleep for ages. Why did you hit them so hard?” “I had to, otherwise it would have been a lot harder to get them here.” I groan and roll my head find that I am in a dark room, with the fire as the only source of light. Two men are standing near the fire. “Ah, well at least one of them is awake,” says the first man. The room is very large and mostly empty except for a table and chairs in the middle of the room. As I move towards the man that spoke, I’m yanked back. I look down and I see that chains are tied to my ankles and hands, connected to the wall. I walk back to the wall and I feel bumps where my nunchucks are safely stowed on my back. I grimace in pain as they push into my skin; whatever hit me, hit me hard. I hear clinking of chains from the other side of the room and as my eyes focus, I see Sparky chained like me to the opposite wall. She doesn’t say anything, just gives her death stare. “Good, hopefully they’ll all wake up now,” said the second man. “You son of a bitch,” said Max, and I realise that they didn’t take our mikes out. I smile to myself as the first man walks over to Max and slaps him in the face. Max grunts as a dark trickle runs down his cheek. “You’ll take that back son, or your time here will be most unpleasant,” the man growled. Max says nothing and just glares at him. Aine’s voice cuts the silence. “What do you want with us?” We all know that this is a stupid question but it gives them a reason to talk. The second man laughs and I noticed he had a very low voice, giving him a menacing tone. “Well, in case you didn’t notice, you broke into our house earlier,” “And nearly stole some of our belongings,” adds the first man. “Who are you?” asks Flame. “Oh no. That’s not how things work here, we ask the questions and you give the answers,” said Low-Voice. “But maybe later,” said man one. “Yes, we’ll give you some time to settle in.” They walk towards the door, which opens and then closes softly behind them.

“Does anyone have weapons?” comes Flame in my ear. “I’ve got my nunchucks,” I say. “They’ve done something to my cuffs,” says sparky, frustrated. “I can’t generate electricity.” “And I can’t make fire,” says Max. “I can’t run,” I say. “Ok, Alex. Get your nunchucks, make them swords and cut your chains. Then do Max’s,” orders Flame, speaking quickly. I get my nunchucks make them into diamond swords and I cut my chains. Immediately, feeling rushes into me and I feel whole again, like something was missing from me earlier and I didn’t notice. I race to Max and as I slash his chains to ribbons, his arms flare into flame and he breathes in deeply. I run to Flame and do the same, then Aine and then Sparky. As I cut her chains, her whole body crackles and sparks. We remove the remains of our cuffs as we hurry towards the doors. Sparky and I are on one side, Max and Flame on the other. Aine is in the middle of us at the handle. She slowly turns it and opens the door just a crack. She peers out as we all fear the worst. “All clear,” she breathes, so quiet I can barely hear her. We all creep out and Aine shuts the door behind us. “Everyone grab hold of me,” says Max. We shuffle around until we all have a firm grip on Max. I feel a small ripple that goes from my hand and flows down my body. The ripple make me shudder and I close my eyes, this happens every time. After a moment or two, Max says, “Ok, we’ve got 30 mins until it runs out.” I open my eyes and from my point of view it’s as if nothing’s changed.

We’re in a long corridor, and every little sound that we make echoes and bounces off the concrete. “This way,” says Flame. “I saw them turn towards the right.” We walk down the corridor, and we hear a door opening in the distance. None of us react, we just keep on walking. Three men are walking towards us, talking and in black clothes, they look like guards. We split and they walk between us, taking no notice that they just passed their prisoners. Max’s talents are very unique and I was surprised that they were able to catch him. As well as being able to light himself on fire, he also has invisibility powers, which he can pass on to others for a short amount of time. But passing his invisibility even to one person drains his energy. I look across to him, and I can see that he’s trying to look tough and that nothing is wrong, but I can tell that he’s really trying to keep up with us. As the guards pass out of sight, and the sound of their stomping boots fades away, Aine whispers, “They’re going to find that we’re gone so we’d better get moving.” We all start walking at a faster pace and Max struggles to keep up, his tiredness showing on his face. As we reach the door at the end of the corridor, we hear a shout and then a door open, and someone screams, “They’re gone!” “Ok, now we should run,” says Sparky. I open the door and we race out, Max closing it behind him.

Before us is a stair case made out of grand chocolate wood with a matching handrail. We race up it and wait at the door. The sound of footsteps is absent, even from behind us. Flame opens the door and indicates for us to follow. I shut the door behind us and turn to face the room in front of us. The room is huge, with every weapon imaginable, from swords to guns and bow and arrow to grenades. Torches burn from the walls which give the weapons a threatening look. Flame grins and runs to a pile of weapons which are lying in a corner. As the rest of us follow, we recognise all of our weapons except for mine, which are still on my back. Belts are strapped and swords are slid into their sheaths as the door on the opposite side of the room bursts open and five guards swarm in.

Short Story 3

Question. Did anyone enter for the 10 days of Awesomeness?
Third part to the short story.

I’m on a rooftop, lying flat and not moving. I can see Flame and Aine at the door with the mark on it. The last rays of the sun cast wide shadows that obscure me from view. Max and Sparky are on rooftops of neighbouring houses near me. I only know that they are there because of our mikes. They are barely visible and all you can see is a tiny, skin coloured earbud. They pick up from the vibrations in your jaw and allow you to hear as well as speak. “You’re right Aine, it’s the mark alright,” comes the voice of Sparky. Even though she’s not at the door, I saw her whizz to it and back before you could blink. I only knew this because all of my senses can keep up with fast movement. “Let’s see if this place has anything to offer,” said Flame, keeping his voice low. He turned the handle and walked forward.

Just before he entered the house, we all heard, “Whoa!” “What is it?” I asked. “A dart,” said Flame. “It whizzed right past me, clearly this room has been tampered a bit. Alex, Sparky, jump on the roof and see if you can find another way in.” Me and Sparky flew across the street below and landed lightly on the roof. We began searching, very slowly, for any signs of people, entrances or traps. “Hey,” said Sparky, “Check this out.” I walk over to her and lean down as she pushes a chunk of tiles down. They move together and are on hinges. The room below is very big, with double doors and looks like it belonged to someone very rich. “Bingo,” I said, smiling. “Wait,” says Aine. “Check for any more darts or traps.” I dangle down my belt and a dart flies into it. “Ah, crap,” I say. “I like my belt.” “Hey, look at that,” says Sparky, pointing to the floor. Nearly hidden from view is a small, black button. “Make a mace and drop it onto it,” she says. “If this doesn’t work, you’re paying for another one,” I say, growling. I know that she won’t want to pay for another one because a) they are extremely rare and b) they cost more than you will ever earn in your life. I take out one of my precious nunchucks, turn it into a mace, and then I drop it into the room. A dart flies and hits it, but with no effect. It lands on the button and nothing happens. I dangle down my belt once more, but no darts attack it. “You are sooooo lucky young lady,” I say to Sparky. “Flame, try walking in, I think I’ve disabled it.” A few moments later, we hear a door closing and Flame saying, “Nice work you two.” Sparky and I drop through the roof and I pick up my mace, which turns back into a nunchuck, and is slid back into my belt. We start searching around the room, looking for anything with the mark.

“Incoming,” cuts in Max. My heart speeds up. “Three guys in dark cloaks, heading your way. Don’t come out through the roof, they’ll see you,” says Max, in a low voice. Sparky and I look up and see that the roof tiles have slid into place, with no way of getting back out. I curse and then we hurry to either side of the double door. I pull out my nunchucks, and Sparky makes her hands start to glow. “They’ve reached the door, get ready,” says Max. We hear a door opening and closing below us. A male husky voice reaches us, “Did you not turn on the darts when we left?” Sparky and I look at each other in horror as we realise that we didn’t and couldn’t turn the darts back on, otherwise we would have been skewered. “Someone’s here,” comes another male voice, younger this time. We hear hurried footsteps, getting louder. Sparky and I tense as the footsteps become even louder, and the door handle turns. I slam my nunchucks into the first guy’s head as Sparky shocks the second. They both crumple to the ground with a crunch. I grin but Sparky looks worried. “Max, I thought you said that there were three of them,” she says slowly. “I did. Why?”  The grin fades from my face as something hard slams into my back and my vision goes black.

Short Story 2

This is going well so far but I still don't have a name yet. HELP?!

“Well I’m glad you got here in one piece,” came the voice of Flame Phoenix. There was the sound of clicking and movement as weapons were put away. The room was lit up as fire appeared in Max’s hands. As we walked to the next room, Sparky and Flame embraced, and then quickly followed us. The next room had a lantern in the centre of the floor and no furniture. This is because the meetings had to have no chance of overhearing and shape shifters have nothing to impersonate. Max bent down, lit the lantern and sat down. The rest of us followed suit and sat in a circle. I look around and I recognise every face; Flame Phoenix, Aine Delours, Max, and of course Sparky Braginski. All of us have individual talents and different weapons strapped on our backs or on belts. “Well, now we’re all here, let’s get down to business,” said Flame. “What’s happening? I’ve nearly been killed five times in the past week, and that’s more than usual,” exclaimed Aine. “Same here,” I said and the others nodded. Sparky leaned forward and spoke.

“After a number of guys came and tried to kill me, I piled up the bodies in the corner of my room. I was looking at them one day and noticed something on one of their shoulders. It was a mark of fire with two snakes encircling it. I checked the others and they had the same mark. I looked at books but the mark wasn’t a symbol that is known.” “I think that I noticed something too,” I put in. “Before we left, I saw something dark on his arm.” “I might have seen something too,” said Aine. “Me too,” said Flame and Max. “So,” said Sparky. “We all have been attacked recently and all with the same mark.” “Could this have anything to do with the Square?” I asked. The Square happened a month ago and we took down all of the UK’s zombies in one night and we nearly died ourselves. The Square was the main place where we fought. “It might,” said Flame. Aine gasped and said, “I saw the mark on a door just before I passed out at Manchester.” We all started at that. “Should we go and check it out?” asked Max. “Yeah,” said Flame. “Have we got everything?” We all nodded, stood up and walked to the wall. “See you there,” said Aine, with a grin. And as one, we stepped into the wall and vanished into the darkness.

Short Story 1

This is the first bit of a story which I haven't decided on a name yet. Ideas?

I slid my nunchucks back into my belt, his bloody face hitting the ground. “And I just cleaned that carpet,” I sighed. “Yeah, well just clean it again,” came a voice from the door. I knew that voice all too well. Sparky Braginski stepped over his body, lowering her crackling hands to the ground. We slid into our natural handshake, Sparky finishing the last punch with a little shock that I was used to by now. “We make a good team bro,” I said, smiling. “Yeah, I know that already,” she said, with a cheeky grin. We both looked down at the body at our feet. “Wonder how he got here,” I said. “He walked.” “Did you see him?” “Yeah, but I waited ‘till saw that he was heading here, in case.” “That’s the third time this week, something’s up.” “Yeah, there is, that’s why I came. We need to go to and see the gang.” The gang meetings rarely happened and if one did, then it meant bad stuff. Really bad stuff.  “This organised by you?” “Yep, at the usual place.” “Ok, ready, go!” I tore into a run. Now I don’t run like a normal person, because I’m not a normal person. I can run at up to 500km per hour but I’m not gonna waste all my energy just to get to the meeting. I can save that for a later time. For now, I’m gonna cruise along at 300km per hour, quite simple and easy for me. It takes five minutes to get there, considering it’s on the other side of the country. Why Flame lives there I don’t know and Sparky doesn’t like it either. But it gives us a chance to have some competition.

I beat her by a millisecond. “Ha! I’m still the best!” She rolls her eyes and we are now standing in front of a graffiti-covered wall. The average person wouldn’t look twice at this, but for us, this is important. We walk to the wall and lean into it, our backs touching it. After a few moments, the wall shimmers and we fall into the wall. We collapse to the floor in a dark, musty room. As we look up we are surrounded by people, with weapons at the ready
